Ideas have also been forward for special ‘fix it days’ for bicycles, upholstery and electronics.

Prospective members would also like to share resources for things like arts and crafts and musical instruments.

A spokesperson said: “Melton Space is a non-profit community organisation run by volunteers and we need the residents of Melton and the business community to help build it into a great shared community resource.”
