Melton street collection raises £238.28 for local branch of the Society for the Protection of Unborn Children

The Rutland and Melton branch of the Society for the Protection of Unborn Children raised £238.28 from its annual street collection held in Melton town centre on Tuesday, October 11.

Colletion promoter Mrs Frances Levett said: “We’re very pleased with this result, which will go to help our work in schools and other awareness-raising acitivites, particularly as we’re just starting a national commemorative year to mark the 50th anniversary of the passing of the Abortion Act.

“Thank you to all those who supported us by collecting and to all who so generously donated.”
