Students from Stagecoach Performing Arts School in Melton took part in a ‘bag pack’ and sang Christmas carols, last Sunday, in Sainsbury’s on Nottingham Road.

All monies raised will be shared equally between the Teenage and Children’s Cancer Trust and Parkinson’s UK.

School Principal Jo Gallagher said: “We’re so grateful to Sainsbury’s for giving us the opportunity to raise money for such deserving causes and we would also like to thank the shoppers for their very generous donations of £230 - we were amazed at their generosity.”

The children will be doing it all over again on Sunday. Jo and her team will be at the supermarket from 11am-2pm singing songs, packing bags, giving out Stagecoach merchandise and wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas!
