Selfless community individuals to be recognised at Mayor's Awards

A special presentation ceremony has been organised at 7.30pm to present the Award of Merit, the Melton Borough Award and the Young Citizen Award.

The Mayor said: “I received many very deserving nominations this year which just goes to show the fantastic work being done by the volunteers in our community.

“As I come towards the end of my mayoral year it gives me tremendous pleasure publicly to recognise some amazing individuals who have all shown such selfless commitment to our to our borough and the communities within it.

“Their contributions are truly an inspiration to all and this presentation event celebrates their achievements.”
