A team of around 20 will pedal 23 miles around the peninsular of Rutland Water next Wednesday (July 27), starting at Whitwell cycling centre.

They’ve all set their sights on raising £20 each in sponsorship allowing them to hit a target of £400.

Team leader Lauren Osbourne said: “This is something we all really look forward to as it’s a chance to do something fun for charity.

“Clic Sargent is the main charity within the pub and is something we always focus our charity work around, I believe it is a very deserving charity and helps a large number of young people with cancer.

“Everyone taking part has either done the event before or does other sports so are well prepared for the challenge.”

Anyone wishing to donate can go into the pub or do so online through their Just Giving page https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Kettleby-Cross-Staff-Page
