Melton man recovering from serious injuries in fatal collision

A man from Melton Mowbray has suffered serious injuries in a collision in Peterborough.

The 63-year-old was the driver of a Land Rover Discovery which was in collision with a grey Vauxhall Vectra on the A16 at 4.04pm yesterday, Wednesday April 20.

The Melton man suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries, but sadly the passenger of the Vectra was killed at the scene.

A 51-year-old man from London who was driving the Vauxhall Vectra has received serious but not life-threatening injuries.

Anyone who saw the collision should contact the road policing unit by calling 101.
