The Dalby Road leisure centre’s health suite is now called the Robert Child Health Suite - named after long-serving Robert Child.

As previously reported in the Melton Times Robert was presented with a long service award by the council in September to mark his long-standing commitment to the authority.

Senior accountant Robert started working at the council in 1965 when he was just 16-years-old. The council was known then as Melton and Belvoir Rural District Council and was based in Warwick Lodge.
