Update on Melton’s Lake Terrace tip

Leicestershire County Council had earlier advised residents who had booked appointments for the Lake Terrace site today to book another day, with all of its tips being closed.

But the authority Tweeted a few moments ago: “Due to a change in weather conditions, the following waste sites are now open and accepting residents with appointments for this afternoon - Melton, Shepshed, Mountsorell, Lutterworth, Kibworth, Coalville, Lount, Whetstone and Oadby.”

Due to lockdown restrictions, residents are currently not able to turn up at waste sites without booking it beforehand.
