Children at Waltham School get dressed up for Roald Dahl Day

Children at Waltham Primary School dressed up as their favourite character from a Roald Dahl book in order to celebrate 100 years since his birth.

Pupils had a fun-filled day of learning using his books as a stimulus. Characters the children wore outfits of included Matilda, George with his marvellous medicine, Fantastic Mr Fox and Willy Wonka.

Headteacher Julie Hopkins said: “This was a marvellous opportunity for the children to learn through literature. Roald Dahl’s books are an inspiration and our readers enjoyed dressing up.”
