The British Chocolate Awards will be held in Melton next year, in the week prior to the town’s annual ChocFest event.

ChocFest organiser, Matthew O’Callaghan, said St Mary’s Church will be the venue for the awards, in November, featuring ‘UK chocolatiers focussing on small artisan producers’.

There will be categories for bars and for chocolates made for speciality items, such as eggs and figures.

This year’s ChocFest was the most successful since the Covid pandemic, with more than 100 stands and an attendance of almost 7,000 people.
