A fast-paced, laugh out loud dance performance/gameshow celebrating seven decade of British pop culture is coming to Upper Broughton Village Hall next Friday (March 17).

‘Blast From The Past’ presented by Spiltmilk Dance invites the audience to team up and get stuck into familiar rounds, brain teasers and challenges from iconic British TV game shows such as Family Fortunes.

There will be prizes throughout and people are invited to take their own drink and nibbles.

The event, at 7.30pm, has been put on by Village Ventures the rural and community touring organisation. The programme is co-ordinated by Live and Local and funded by Arts Council England, Nottinghamshire County Council and Rushcliffe Borough Council.

Chair of Upper Broughton Village Hall committee, Tim Flood, said: “Join us at this high energy hugely entertaining evening.

“It will be a night to guarantee to bring back those fond memories that music from the decades always stirs.

“The village hall has limited seating so please pick up the phone and book your tickets today for an evening that will put a spring into your step.”

Tickets are £12 for adults, and £5 for children 16 and under. Call (01664) 823165 for more details. To see what’s in store visit http://spiltmilkdance.co.uk/gallery/video/blast-past-trailer/
