Minions (U) Ever since the dawn of time, the Minions have lived to serve the biggest and baddest of villains. This time leader Kevin, teenage rebel Stuart and lovable little Bob are on a global road trip, where they earn a chance to work for a new boss – the world’s first female super villain – and to save all of Minion kind from annihilation. Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday at 3.45pm and Tuesday at 4pm.

Spooks: The Greater Good (15) In this spin-off from the BBC’s spy series, fast-moving drama and high-octane mistrust are enhanced by stunningly vicious twists. Qasim, a terrorist mastermind (Elyes Gabel), escapes from MI5’s custody on boss Harry Pearce’s watch. When Harry (Firth) disappears, agents Will (Harington) and June (Middleton) must both find him and recapture Qasim, who’s planning an attack. Friday at 6pm and Saturday at 8.45pm.

Terminator Genisys (12A)

Schwarzenegger returns to play the iconic cyborg. It’s 2029, and John Connor (Jason Clarke) sends his trusted lieutenant (Jai Courtney) back in time to 1984 to rescue his mother (Emilia Clarke). But the past Kyle finds is not the one John remembered. Friday at 8.30pm, Saturday, Sunday and Thursday at 6pm, Monday and Wednesday at 8.15pm and Tuesday at 8pm.

Ruth & Alex (12A) This wonderfully amiable comedy drama revolves around an ageing but still in-love married couple, the eponymous Ruth and Alex (Keaton and Freeman). Monday at 6pm and Tuesday at 2pm.

Dark Horse: The Incredible Story of Dream Alliance (PG) An inspirational underdog tale in the vein of Pride and Billy Elliot, Dark Horse is a celebration of a real-life working-class Welsh community. In 2000, a syndicate of villagers from Cefn Fforest clubbed together to buy a thoroughbred mare and breed their own racehorse. Tracing the events that followed, Dark Horse boasts all the plot twists of the most ingeniously scripted drama, capturing the thrill and beauty of the plucky horse – aptly named Dream Alliance. Tuesday at 6pm.

Man Up (15) Nancy (LakeBell) is a delightfully unconventional 30-something singleton, who has lots to offer but hasn’t met the right guy. Recently heartbroken Jack (Simon Pegg), has embraced the brave new world of online dating and stumbles into Nancy at a station mistaking her for his blind date. Wednesday at 6pm and Thursday at 8.45pm.
