Melton Theatre is aiming to offer a little something for everyone this autumn as it showcases up to 30 shows between September and December.
The theatre’s new season features several known well-known faces from the world of comedy opening with Roy “Chubby Brown” on September 5.
In October, comedian Sean Hughes follows up and the popular Jethro brings his stand-up to Melton.
Step into the world of laughter as the Melton Musical Theatre Company present their production of Fawlty Towers across four evenings (October 14 to 17).
For fans of the TV show Mock the Week, the theatre is most definitely the place to visit as there is comedy from Rob Beckett (October 31), Andy Parsons (November 4), Josh Widdicombe (November 14) and Ed Byrne (April 13,2016).
For television and radio fanatics Des O’Connor CBE (September 11), Monty Don (October 27) and Blofield and Baxter (October 8) are set to entertain audiences.
Music highlights include The Bay City Rollers starring Les McKeown, Joe Stilgoe, Showaddywaddy and Simon and Garfunkel: Through the Years, performed by Bookends and The Alani String Quartet.
Some of the musicals happening this autumn include Les Miserables (September), performed by a cast put together by The Performing Stars Academy and an evening of Dirty Dancing The Tribute Show (October).
Panto season kicks off with Trevonne Stage School’s production of Jack and the Beanstalk. Ten performances across seven days will grip pantomime lovers (November 28 to December 5). There is also Peter Pan by Trio Entertainment in December.
For the children, CBeebies favourite Sid Sloane is on stage in October, with his fantastic fun adventure and 2015 Britain’s Got Talent act Misstasia sing Disney and movie classics earlier in the month.
