Melton and District Model Club’s annual show will celebrate the club’s 50th anniversary with a host of special events.
The free show on Saturday and Sunday runs from 10am-5pm (Sat) and 10.30am-4pm (Sun) at Thorpe Road playing field, next to Tesco. Spectators will be entertained throughout the two days by flying displays from a range of different aircraft, including helicopters.
There will also be a one off re-enactment of the Dambusters display in miniature and on Saturday there will be a classic car display, live music and a hog roast.
As well as aircraft, radio-controlled model boats and cars will also feature on the playing field’s pool and a portable pool constructed especially for the day.
Model railway exhibits and miniature steam train and traction engine rides will also feature, and refreshments will be available throughout the day.
Other attractions include a tombola, raffle and a range of trade stands.
This year’s show will raise funds for Dove Cottage day hospice in Stathern.
