Melton Theatre is set for a run of sell-out shows as its busiest week of the year to date approaches.
Tickets have long gone for tonight’s visit of top American comedian Rich Hall, while sell-out signs went up many weeks ago for tomorrow’s special showcase of Melton performers George Simpson, Dan Hadfield and Howard Rose.
George is launching his new album Get On This Ride and will be supported by leading Gary Barlow tribute Dan, who moved to Melton last year, and Howard, who shot to prominence recently in BBC TV’s The Voice.
Completing a hat-trick of consecutive sell-outs is the free variety show for seniors citizens, on Saturday, which is organised annually by the Melton Mowbray Lions.
But tickets are still on sale for two excellent shows in the coming seven days.
The internationally acclaimed Reduced Shakespeare Company are on stage on Sunday, performing their History of Comedy (Abridged) from 7.30pm. Tickets cost £17 with £15 concessions.
Tuesday brings a change of tack as Falklands War veteran Simon Weston comes to Melton for a preview date of his forthcoming theatre tour My Life, My Story (7.30pm).
Simon is touring for the first time to share his remarkable life and recovery after suffering horrific burns when HMS Sir Galahad was bombed by Argentine planes in 1982.
Tickets cost £15.50 with £13.50 concessions available to Service Staff, students and over 60s.
