The heroic contribution of the Army’s equine helpers in the Great War effort is retold at an ongoing exhibition at Melton Carnegie Museum.
Forgotten Heroes: Horses of the Great War is a commemorative exhibition looking at the role of horses and mules during the Great War.
The six-week showcase also explores the work of the Army Veterinary Corps, based in Melton, and the Army Remount Service.
It runs until Saturday, February 21. Opening hours are 10am to 4.30pm, Tuesday to Saturday, and admission is free.
