Melton Mowbray Photographic Society’s exhibition could offer visitors last minute Christmas gift opportunity

Have your say

With Christmas festivities well underway in the town, Melton Mowbray Photographic Society are preparing to get in on the act by hosting their very own special event.

Alongside the Victorian Christmas Fayre, the society is putting on an exhibition at the Fourwalls gallery in Burton Street.

The exhibition will showcase the photography of members and offer the chance to buy last minute Christmas gifts.

Ian Price chairman of the society said: ‘The aim of the group is to welcome photographers of all abilities and provide an environment where they feel that they can get involved, have fun and learn new skills.

“For this exhibition we have made sure that we are showcasing images from as many of our members as we can.”

The society is now in its 69th year and has around 50 members who are keen amateur photographers ranging from 14 years old upwards. Members meet every Friday at the Samworth Centre, from 7.15pm, and from September until the end of April.

The exhibition starts from 10am-4pm this Saturday and Sunday. Images on display will be available to buy.
