Friday night is Sparkles and Joyride at Asfordby Sports Ground.

The absolutely wonderful Sparkles and Joyride are playing in aid of The Air Ambulance Service.

Baker’s Treat at Generous Briton on Friday features tight vocal harmonies and a great combination of musical instruments.

Mojohand (Noels Arms, Friday) are a four piece Leicester-based rock n’ roll, rhythm and blues band with 50s style twanging, sliding guitar and honking tenor sax combined with a rock-solid driving rhythm section and two fine lead vocalists.

Saturday night is Sparkles and Joyride at the Polish Club. Tickets are £5 with special guest Calum Whitfield. Taking on their second charity event this is in aid of Vista - a sight loss charity. There’ll be songs from rock, modern pop and hits from years gone by with a bit of Motown thrown in for good measure.

Picto Mexico bring great music, a great atmosphere and good laughs to the all England sports ground on Saxby road, on Saturday.

After what seems an age, 6th Sense return to the Generous Briton on Saturday. The band are in great form having been gigging extensively and adding loads of new songs to their set of rock, indie, punk and anything else they can squeeze in to surprise.

Saturday also sees Splinters ‘ debut at the Noels Arms. Splinters are a dynamic trio from Leicester, who play a mixture of classic rock and pop from the 1960s to the present day.

On Sunday, Monroe (Polly Yates), combines quirky, well-known covers, played with lashings of blues and jazz influence and her own original music. Truly an artist that’s not to be missed.
