Jam-uary 2 continues at the Noels on Friday (8pm) as the fantastic house band Buzzard, comprising Jim Price, Andy Lamb and Andy Kealey, host the jam sessions.

Get the Bryl Cream out and get All Shook Up as the Rock ‘n’ Roll Record Hop returns to the Generous Briton on Friday for an evening of vinyl records and 50s rock ‘n’ roll.

The Voice star Howard Rose will provide vocals as Zeppelin V hit the Noels on Saturday (8.30pm) along with the guitar playing and drumming of Will Hay and Tom Griggs, James Mullen on bass and Sean Graham on guitar.

With the new year comes a new band in the form of Slither (Generous Briton, Saturday, 8.30pm).

They playing all of your classic rock favourites from AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Aerosmith, Thin Lizzy, Pink Floyd and more! Big sound and a big lightshow.

It’s Micky Swan’s 60th birthday at The Grapes on Saturday and that can only mean live music with popular duo Rockin’ Ratbags featuring 50s, 60s and 70s fancy dress.

Calder McLaughlin (Noels, Sunday, 4pm) is celebrating his 10th year with a greatest hits set.

He’ll be playing his most popular songs and a few choice covers to say thanks for all of the support.

Monty’s Travellin Show returns to Hamilton Tennis Club on Sunday (6.30pm) with an international feel.

It features two fabulous girl singers from Canadian rock band The Dekades and great German guitarist Martin Rolf.

Dave Bowes and Friends (The Crown, Sunday 7.30pm) caps the weekend’s entertainment with something a little different.

Expect a little electric and acoustic guitar with songs past and present.
