A commemorative showcase event is to be held at Melton Carnegie Museum next Saturday, (June 25), for families to find out more about their relatives in the First World War.

Experts on family and military history will be available to answer questions and show the public how to get started doing their own research.

Groups including The Royal British Legion, RAVC, Century of Stories, Hose, Bottesford, Waltham and Thorpe Arnold historical societies will each have stalls showing the research they have done such as 3D models, videos and more.

Friends of Melton Carnegie Museum will serve tea and coffee and there will be activities for children to enjoy.

Admission (10am-3pm), is free of charge. A small charge will be made for some of the activities.
