Harby will play host to a rousing open-air prom on Saturday when Nottingham Concert Nand opens its summer season.
The band, which features more than 40 players, will perform on a stage erected in the Leys, and concert-goers are encouraged to bring rugs along with their deckchairs and bunting. The concert will move into the village hall if the weather is unkind.
Kick-off is 6.30pm with a flag-waving finale promised at around 8.15pm as the sun sets.
Tickets are £8 or £4 concessions, or £20 for a family ticket, and available from Bev Salt on (01949) 861782 or Harby Garage.
