Flowers at Whissendine will depict scenes of music

Have your say

The much-loved Whissendine flower festival will once again be held over August Bank Holiday weekend, when the theme will be ‘Music We Love.’

Displayed in the church, in a riot of colour, flower arrangements will depict music in many forms including church and classical.

The format for the weekend will start with a preview evening on Friday (August 28). Tickets (£7) include a glass of wine and canapes and are available from the Mace shop in the village.

From Saturday to Bank Holiday Monday the church will open at 10am for people to view displays. Admission is free and refreshments will be available at the village hall.
