One of the summer’s premier village shows, Old Dalby Day returns this Bank Holiday Monday.
This year the 32nd annual event will provide a full day of family entertainment from 11am whilst aiming to raise funds for local and national charities.
The day kicks off with the return of the popular Old Dalby Hill Run, where a new 4.5 course across tough terrain will challenge adults and juniors.
There will also be a selection of classic and vintage vehicles on display and the Ruddington Army Cadets Corps of Drummers will be performing.
The annual dog show at 12.30pm has been organised with six classes including best puppy, prettiest bitch, most handsome dog, best biscuit catcher and waggiest tail.
Around the village there will be a street market while the horticultural show presides in the school hall.
Other attractions on the day include a demonstration from the Soar Valley Archers, children’s sports, a fancy dress competition, arena events, pony rides and refreshments.
Car parking is £4, which includes a programme with more than £70 of vouchers, and entry is free.
