For those of you with voices still intact and sides left unsplit, the third and final production of Melton Theatre’s panto season begins next week.

As Brooksby Melton College’s production of Aladdin comes to an end tomorrow (Friday), the stage will be clear for the grand finale when Eastenders’ actress Melissa Suffield (Lucy Beale) and CBBC’s Lucinda Rhodes (Cavegirl and Dream Team) star in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

Will Prince Lorenzo rescue his beloved Snow White from the Wicked Queen’s evil spells? Will the horrible Henchman complete his perilous task upon the Princess? Will the Seven Dwarves get to the poisoned apple before Snow White?

Melissa plays our heroine, while Lucinda will be expecting the odd raucous boo and hiss as the Wicked Queen.

The show, the first panto by a professional touring company to perform at Melton for several years, begins on Wednesday (7pm) and continues until Sunday, December 21 (1pm).

There are two performances on Thursday (10am and 1.15pm), Friday (10am and 7pm) and Saturday (2pm and 7pm).

Tickets cost £12 for adults and £10 concessions. Call (01664) 851111 or visit www.meltontheatre.co.uk

* Elsewhere, Baker’s Treat perform live at a special fundraising Christmas party for Pablo’s Horse Sanctuary tomorrow (Friday).

The party, at Melton’s Royal British Legion, goes on from 7.30-11.30pm and also features a disco, grand Christmas raffle draw and finger buffet.

There will also be a chance to meet volunteers from the Melton animal charity.

Tickets £5 from Carole Fielding on 07745 628684.
