Melton Mowbray Young Farmers wish to invite members, both past and present, to attend their 80th anniversary dinner dance next month.

The event is being held on Saturday, September 17 at White Lodge, Goadby Marwood, by kind permission of the club’s president Elaine Holmes.

The club was formed in 1936, originally as a calf club when all members were livestock owners, however, in 1952 the club opened to non-farming members enabling more young people to take part in the wide range of activities that young farmers has to offer.

It remains a club run by the members for the members teaching valuable life skills like budgeting, public speaking, organising and communication skills.

Tickets to the anniversary dinner dance are £40 and available from Lisa Neale on 07879 475208 or email lj.neale@btinternet.com
