Get set for more summer fun as the village fete season continues at Eastwell this weekend.
The 22nd Eastwell fete takes place on Saturday in the grounds of Eastwell Hall and the adjoining St Michael and All Angels’ Church with proceeds going to boost the coffers of the handsome medieval church.
The popular event is set to offer traditional family fun for everyone. Its programme of entertainment includes vintage and classic cars and tractors, skittles, bottle tombola, bunjee trampolines, falconry, face painting, a display by a member of the Melton and Belvoir Search Society and music from the Graham Tranfield Quintet and Persi Flage.
Other attractions include children’s games, country crafts by Brooksby Melton College, art from Catherine Moores and Eastwell History Group will hold an exhibition in the church.
Refreshments will be served in the shape of cream teas, barbecue, sandwich bar and bar.
New this year is a family dog show which starts at 11.30am and includes up to 10 classes with rosettes for 1st 2nd and 3rd in each class.
The fete runs from 11am until 5pm and admission is £5 for families or £2.50 for individuals with free car parking.
