Croxton Kerrial Youth Club are counting down to their free family fun day which will be held at the weekend.

The day on Saturday, from 11am to 4pm, will be held at the village sport and social club, and will include a range of displays and attractions for the whole family to enjoy.

There will be a variety of activities such as make overs by Charlie Oswin - make up artist on Emmerdale, a tombola, wine or water stall and refreshments.

Attractions on the day will include face painting, glitter tattoos, pony rides, human hamster zorb balls, a magician, giant climbing wall, falconry, bouncy castle, bungee runs and a pillow bash.

Dogs Trust will be attending to judge and sponsor the dog show and will be offering to free micro chip pets and the Derbyshire Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance will be sharing with the public the work they do in the community.

There will be demonstrations from the Wuff ‘N’ Ready dog fly-ball team, a fancy dress competition, tae kwon displays and sports day races.

New this year will be a stage for live music with bands such as Velocity, Performing Stars, Ye Old Banjo’s and the local children’s choir all performing.

This exciting day aims to raise funds for the youngsters who attend the youth club and will be opened by Meltonian actor Adrian Scarborough.
