Yet another big name in the comedy world has been added to Melton Theatre’s 2015 line-up after Josh Widdicombe last week confirmed a show.
Josh makes a welcome return to the Asfordby Road venue on November 14 (8pm) with a new show: What Do I Do Now… which follows on from his previous appearance in autumn 2013.
His booking comes hot on the heels of other popular acts who will perform at the theatre this year including Kevin Bridges, Sean Hughes, Jeremy Hardy, Roy ‘Chubby’ Brown and Des O’ Connor.
Melton Theatre co-ordinator Michael Harris said: “Josh is a rising star of the British comedy scene and we’re delighted to be able to welcome him back once more.
“This booking is yet more confirmation that we are well and truly on the map as a leading touring comedy venue in the UK.”
Josh has a sitcom due to be broadcast in the autumn and currently co-hosts the increasingly popular Channel 4 show The Last Leg.
He has been nominated for various awards including a British Comedy Award and a Broadcast Award, and finally won one at the Royal Television Society Awards.
His other TV credits include BBC2’s Mock the Week and QI, BBC1’s Live at the Apollo and Have I Got News for You, and ITV1’s The Jonathan Ross Show.
Josh is also busy with radio work, and is the current host of BBC5 Live’s Saturday morning sports panel show Fighting Talk.
He will be joined at Melton by a support act that is still to be confirmed so there’s plenty of comedy for your money.
Tickets are due to go on sale tomorrow (Friday) at 9am priced at £16.50 plus booking fees.
