Centre Stage swansong calls at Long Clawson, Wymondham and Bottesford

Have your say

This weekend could be your last chance to catch rural touring theatre on your doorstep.

The Centre Stage programme, which brings theatre and concerts to village venues throughout the county, has been hit by funding cuts.

Variety show 6 Impossible Things by Avanti & Artizani appears at two of our village halls this weekend.

The production calls at Bottesford on Saturday and Wymondham the following day, both at 7.30pm.

It features a revolving stage, conjuring, acrobatics, live music, sound effects, animatronics, and a spectacular finale.

The story involves the Three Grimshaws, a variety act at the top of their game, just after a disastrous show in Grimsby.

Tickets are £8 and available from Spar or Zaro’s in Bottesford, wegottickets.com or on the door. Bring your own drink and glasses.

For Wymondham tickets, call (01572) 787247 or 07792 756511.

There’s comedy over at Long Clawson on Saturday with The Unlikely Dads by the Badapple Theatre Company.

It follows the unusual tale of two friends who became fathers late in life under extraordinary circumstances.

Tickets on the door cost £9, or £7 concessions, and £5 children. All tickets bought in advance are £1 cheaper.

Call (01664) 822247 or 822391 to book.
