Actor playwright Ginny Davis returns to the East Midlands with another instalment in the Ruth Rich saga at two of our village halls this weekend.
Ruth is never far from the flood of chaos created by family and friends, and Something Fishy tells an offbeat and satirical tale of the unexpected.
The Centre Stage touring production visits Cottesmore on Friday and Bottesford on Saturday, both at 7.30pm.
Ginny has earned herself two sell-out runs at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and a reputation for delivering witty reflections on family life.
She said: “People complain about not being able to choose their family. I’ve always found not being able to choose the parents of your children’s friends to be far worse.”
Tickets for the Bottesford performance cost £8 and are available from Gill on (01949) 842868 or wegottickets.com. Take your own drink and glasses.
For tickets to the Cottesmore show, call (01572) 812424.
* Fresh from their concert at Twyford, Trio Gitan’s tour returns to the area on Friday, March 20 (7.30pm).
They promise a musical trip across Europe with styles ranging from classical to Klezmer, poignant Russian sings to Parisian swing together with Celtic fiddling.
For tickets, call (01664) 822247 and 822391.
