Brooksby Gardening Club opens doors to green-fingered new members

Brooksby Gardening Club are on the lookout for green-fingered new members to join their friendly group.

The club arranges speakers for their monthly meetings, which run from September to May, on a varied range of topics.

Occasional evening visits to local gardens of interest are also arranged in spring and early summer, as well as coach outings to houses and gardens of significant interest later in the summer.

The club, which is affiliated to the Royal Horticultural Society, also arranges coach holidays further afield.

Past destinations have included the West Country, Wales, Scotland, Ireland and France.

The club’s next meeting takes place on Wednesday at Queniborough Village Hall at 7.30pm where there will be free tea, coffee and biscuits.

Those who decide to join on a more permanent basis can sign up for a discounted half-season membership at £5.
