Get set for a fabulous evening of colourful explosions and cracking entertainment on Saturday at the Belvoir Castle annual firework championships.
The championships are in their seventh year at Belvoir Castle and will feature four great firework displays.
Three of the UK’s best firework companies will compete against each other with a 10-minute firework display choreographed to music, followed by a display finale from organisers MLE Pyrotechnics.
The event is the only one of its type in the UK where the audience can vote for their favourite team using mobile phones. Texts will be charged at normal rates with a limit of one vote per number.
There will be interviews with the competitors from 9pm and a computer-fired demo at 9.15pm before the championships begin.
The three teams in competition this year are Gala Fireworks from Northampton who hold their display at 9.30pm, F1 Pyrotechnics from Sussex who hold their display at 9.45pm and Peterborough team PDC Fireworks at 10pm. The large-scale MLE display starts at 10.30pm and the winners are announced at 10.40pm.
Pre-display entertainment for the children includes bouncy castles, rides and attractions. Visitors are welcome to bring picnics, and food will also be available.
Overnight camping costs are £10 for adults and free for children and tickets must be bought in advance. Gazebos are allowed but require a permit from organisers. The maximum size is 3m x 3m. Cost is £20.
Entry to the events costs £17 per adult and £7 for children in advance from www.belvoirfireworks.co.uk or by calling organisers MLE on (01327) 876037. Tickets bought on the gate cost £19 for adults and £9 for children.
