A traditional open-air village proms will be held in Harby on Saturday, May 16, as Nottingham Concert Band aims to opens its summer season in rousing style.
Under the baton of guest conductor Ashley Parnell, the 40 plus players will start their programme at 6.30pm, with a flag-waving finale planned for around 8.15pm. The band will perform on a stage erected on The Leys and the audience is being encouraged to pack rugs, jumpers, deckchairs and bunting.

The band will also perform a bandstand event in Melton’s New Park on September 6.
