Melton Gig Guide: February 19 to 21 - Melton Times

The Noels Arms hosts Sarah Bird for their Early Doors session on Friday.

At her gig she will bring a mixture of retro pop and soul inspired tunes to the table. Sarah will also play songs from her EP ‘Tattoo.’

Fancy a little murder mystery this Saturday? Get yourself down to Twyford Village Hall where “A Mafia Murder” is to be hosted by Paul Falcone.

Saturday also sees Cocked N’ Loaded back at the Noels Arms. The excellent rock band return to play all your favourite hits and more.

Superfan Pete Finn once said that watching the band was like his record player had a 4500KW PA strapped to it.

Bonnylou has the stage at the Genny B on Saturday with her blues/reggae sound. Her style is copied from the likes of Janis Joplin and Tina Turner.

An evening of soul has been organised at The Stute in Asfordby on Saturday. Hurry on down for a night you won’t forget in a hurry.

Rachel Paul is set to play at The Grapes on Saturday. She is a motown, soul and disco singer from Leicester. Rachel will perform hits from the 60s to the present day from the likes of Etta James, The Supremes, Stevie Wonder and Bruno Mars.

Sunday is all about Bluebird Parade who will perform at the Noels Arms.

The six piece band will play original songs with thought provoking lyrics and distinctive vocals. They will mix acoustic, electric and brass instrumentation to take to you in unexpected directions.

Last but by no means least is Goldie Locks who performs at The Saddle in Twyford.

They are an up and coming duo who perform a mixture of soul, jazz and popular covers with guitars and vocals. Goldie Locks formed last year featuring Stella Watson on lead vocals and George Davey playing the guitar and providing backing vocals.
