Hose Fest to host great local bands

Hose will hear the sound of music at the weekend as usually quiet green spaces play host to some great local bands.

Hose Fest explodes into action tomorrow night at 7.30pm, with The Dolly Show at Hose Village Hall. Returning after last year’s fantastic sell out show the audience will be able to sample the sounds of Europe’s top Dolly Parton Tribute.

Tickets are available from the Post Office and are £10 for adults and £5 for under 18s.

Organisers are promising a great day out for all the family for those who pop down to Hose Fest on Saturday which has live music on the open air stage at the village hall from 3pm.

The line up-of local groups and singers includes The Belvoir Big Band, The Graham Tranfield Quintet, The Earliest Beings, Crisis, Barney Rubblz, The Creamy Almonds, Special Guests and iSurrender.

The day’s events get under way from noon on the village green with a traditional fete featuring stalls, children’s games, dancing, barbecue and more. There will also be a gymkhana on the village hall field from 11am featuring fun classes for horses and ponies.

Hot food will be served all weekend including pulled pork, bacon rolls and pizzas, and there will be a range of real ales and ciders on offer in a marquee sponsored by the Nottingham Brewery.

Entry is £5 for adults and £2 for children.
