They’ll be coming in their thousands to Sunday’s Melton Victorian Christmas Fayre.
Greeting visitors will be a Queen Victoria impersonator, town crier, 150-plus stall holders in period costume and, of course Santa himself.
The Victorian Christmas Fayre once again promises to be one of the best events in Melton’s calendar attracting guests from far and wide.
The event, which runs from 10am to 4pm, will be officially opened by Howard Rose who will then be singing on the stage in Market Place.
There will be a full programme of entertainment and lots of activities for children plus Dickensian characters such as street urchins, chimney sweeps and stilt walkers.
More fun comes in the form of ferret racing, Shire horses, Morris dancers, Jack Frost, Pinxton Puppets and falconry.
