Activities morning at Melton’s St Mary’s Church aims to be a roaring success

Families are invited to come dressed in their animal onesies for a Noah’s Ark themed activity morning.

The event at Melton’s St Mary’s Church, on Saturday, January 10, will include storytelling and a chance to make animal hats and masks as well as making your own doves of peace. There will also be cake decorating, an animal quiz, giant games, chess and a chance to learn lacemaking.

Reverend Kevin Ashby, rector at St Mary’s, said: “Come along, browse the day’s newspapers, chat and relax over a free cup of tea, coffee and piece of cake.

“Hopefully people will be flooding into the church when they realise what’s on offer.”

Admission is free and activities will be running from 10.30am to noon.
