Stoke Rochford Golf: Seniors raise £555 in Poppy Appeal comp
For the seventh year, seniors treasurer Tim Haward organised another successful Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal competition for Stoke Rochford Golf Club's seniors section.

A field of 51 players competed in an individual stableford and raised £555.55 on the morning, a total which will grow when further poppy sales before Remembrance Day are added.
The winner with 41 points was Barry Mitchell, just a point ahead of runner-up Alex Whitelaw whose score was improved by a hole-in-one on the 12th hole.
Terry Haggerty took third place on countback with 38 points, with the top three finishers winning a golfing day out.
The next three places were all decided by countback as they finished their rounds locked together on 38 points. Graham Tebbutt took fourth, and Don Werner pipped Gary Bellfor fifth place.
