CONTINUING their marathon training, two Stilton Striders made the trip to Lincolnshire for the 20th annual running of the Stamford 30K.

The 18.6-mile road race, run over a gruelling, hilly rural course, is targeted by club runners from all over the country as part of their marathon preparation and a field of 750 runners were treated to perfect weather conditions.

The first Strider home in 2hr 45min 01secs was Theresa Coltman who claimed a fantastic 10th place in her category.

She was closely followed across the line by team-mate Mike Brighty in 2.46.55.
