There was no Bank Holiday relaxation for Stilton Strider Stuart Gregory as he completed three races in three days.
On Saturday, he made his way up to Chesterfield for race four of the No Walk in the Park race series.
Having taken steps backwards in the previous two races, Stuart was hoping to halt his recent poor form in the series, but for a third successive race finished in a slower time of 28min 48secs.
In his second race of the weekend, it was back to Derbyshire as he took to the start line for the Bluebell fell race on Sunday.
An improved performance looked to be on the cards after the first one-and-a-half miles as he ran with a small group of runners near the back of the field.
But by the final one-and-a-half miles, the group had pulled away, leaving Stuart in last place. He chased them down, but failed to overtake the remains of the group, finishing in a time of 58min 45secs.
Stuart then made the short journey to Wollaton Park, in Nottingham, the following day with clubmate Natalie Teece for the Easter 10km.
Natalie was first home of the pair in 57th place overall (and second vet 35 finisher) in a time of 41min 07secs.
Stuart followed 25 minutes later in a much improved 530th place and a course personal best of 1hr 5mins to cap the weekend on a high.
