Brother and sister George and Elizabeth Griffiths (pictured) will be on the bill when the Assassins Muay Thai Boxing Gym stage their final show of the year later this month.

The big event takes place at Melton’s Market Tavern on Saturday, October 24 with 16 bouts scheduled.

Two-time world champion George faces a tough bout against Spanish fighter Alexis Garcia, from the Spartans Gym.

The match is expected to be one of the highlights of the show with the Melton fighter’s go-forward style well-matched against Garcia who has a good record, including several knockouts.

But his sister Elizabeth opens proceedings against Olivia Paprocki, a quick opponent from Poland.

Their clubmates Cailan Nolan (8) and Musab (8) warmed up for the hometown event at a junior show in Salford last weekend.

Nolan won an all-action bout with a local fighter, while Musab lost, but performed well in a bout he took at just 24 hours’ notice.

Both Assassins will be fighting opponents from Kettering at the Market Tavern.

Tickets are on sale from Nicko’s Fish bar and any Assassin member. Alternatively, call (01664) 567491.
