Melton Mowbray RFC Under 9s were on top form as they travelled to Syston on Sunday to take part in the annual Dave Vamplew Festival.
After a tentative start last week to the first season of tackling, the players were pumped and ready to go in what has always been an enjoyable fixture for the Melton team.
They played outstanding rugby in their first game and this continued throughout the day.
Special mentions go to Roberton and Marriott for strong, driving rugby, while Parker-Allen turned in a clever performance in the scrum-half position.
The team will be back at their Burton Road headquarters for training on Sunday.
Any Year 4 school pupils wanting to join a successful and friendly team are free to go along at 10.30am on Sunday.
