Queniborough CC overwhelmed Grantham in their final game to be crowned the Grantham and Melton Association champions on Sunday.
The Division One triumph made it a title double for the club whose Second XI had won Division Two seven days earlier.
After winning the toss and batting, Sarfraj Patel, Saeed Patel, Mubarak Patel, Imran Manji and Zuber Patel all made half-centuries, Mubarak top-scoring with 85 as the hosts racked up a commanding 352-5 from their 40 overs.
Grantham were never in the chase and were eventually bowled out for 117.
Three wickets from Sadik Dukanwala and doubles from Asif May and Jakirhusen Khanderao sealed a crushing 235-run victory to pip long-time leaders Houghton-on-the-Hill to the title by just seven points.
* Queniborough’s Second XI capped their Division Two title success with a narrow two-wicket win at Ashby Carington.
Martin Troop (67) helped the hosts to a competitive total of 214-4, but visiting openers Sam Payne (40) and James Vamplew (66) set about the chase.
Tod Clapham (4 for 43) and Joe Dyer (3 for 40) threatened to spoil the party, but Max Carmichael (37 not out) and Jim Payne (24 not out) sealed victory with three overs to spare.
Elsewhere in Division Two, Syston Town kept their hopes of avoiding the drop alive with a 107-run win at Frisby, Hoby and Rotherby.
George Corbett (80) and Henry Whait (100 not out) inspired the win which takes Syston within three points of third-bottom Bingham ahead of their final game at home to Bottesford on Sunday.
* And in Division Three, Sholay denied Thorpe Arnold promotion as they beat bottom side Grantham by 128 runs, largely thanks to Priyank Patel’s unbeaten 136.
The Melton side trail leaders Whissendine by 10 points, knowing victory at Croxton Kerrial on Sunday will add the title to their promotion.
