Swann the latest snooker champ

The fortnightly handicapped competitions which started at Jackson’s snooker lounge following the lifting of lockdown restrictions in July have produced a different winner each time.

And last Saturday was no exception when Andrew Swann became the latest champ.

To keep within COVID-19 guidelines there was a maximum of six players taking part with each playing a frame against each other.

The top two then played a best-of-seven-frame final - Andrew beating Neil Carter 4-2.

The next competition is on Saturday, October 24, starting at 10am.

There is an entry fee and cash prizes for first and second places and the highest 30-plus break.

There is also a rolling bonus for the first 50-plus break which currently stands at £40.

Non-members as well as members are welcome.
