SEVEN Stilton Striders joined the field for the Rothley 10K race.
The event, organised by the Rothley and Soar Valley Lions, attracted 488 runners including Kate and Gerry McCann. The conditions were good for running and although the race is a two-lap race run mainly around a housing estate, the atmosphere created by the many spectators was very special.
For the second race running, Alison Wilson (1hr 03min 13secs) achieved the club’s Pewter Standard, while Richard Angrave clocked up another personal best with a run of 1hr 06min 52secs and Sally Renwick also ran a PB of 1.12.30.
Clubmate John Houghton clocked 47min 05secs, just ahead of Louise Houghton (47.42), Martin Miles (48.31) and Julie Doley (1.00.58).
