South Notts League: Old Dalby bow to Lambley experience

Have your say

Old Dalby fielded a side short on senior players through injuries and absences for their home match with Lambley.

Dalby’s bowlers struggled to contain the visitors and only Carrick Fone had any joy with excellent figures of 6 for 39 as Lambley raced to a daunting total of 259-8 from their 45 overs.

In reply, the home side put up a brave fight and set a good pace with Alistair Fell making 64, Ben Wass hitting 48 and 13-year-old Alfie Greaves adding 19.

But the experienced Lambley bowlers Griffiths and Bircumshaw bowled out Dalby for 162 in 25.3 overs.
