Lake View Fishery: Jackson wins Fish O’Mania qualifier

Regular Lake View angler Doug Jackson landed a coveted place in the Fish O’Mania grand final later this summer after winning a qualifier at the Holwell-based fishery last Wednesday.

Jackson caught 118lb 8oz from peg seven on stream to pip runner-up Dan Hull who caught top weight on canal with 108lb 14oz from peg nine.

He will take his place at the televised final, at Hayfield lakes, near Doncaster, on Saturday, July 13, alongside Melton angler Simon Skelton.
