Belvoir League: Long Clawson snuff out Upper Broughton hopes

Have your say

A fluent innings from Simon Jones helped Long Clawson to a tight Belvoir League win against Upper Broughton.

Clawson batted first and struggled for runs against some tight bowling from Andy Burton (2 for 17) and Paul Stevenson.

Only Jones (41) was able to break the shackles, while late runs from Brotherhead (13) pushed their total along to 86-4.

In reply, Broughton struggled even more against Clawson’s opening bowlers Roberts and Hind.

Only Panchal (11) at the top of the order and Lee Smith (18) got settled, and when they were out, Stanyard cleaned up the tail to dismiss Broughton for 69.
