Belvoir Cricket League round-up: Upper Broughton edge past Hickling

Have your say

Upper Broughton hosted Hickling in their Vale Division match and it was the visitors who got off to a good start through Ian Fisher (36) and Matt Winn (54).

The innings slowed when Craig Shelton (2 for 28) and Scott Mooney (1 for 13) were introduced as Hickling closed their 18 overs on 114-3.

Broughton started slowly, but Stevenson’s 20 kept them in with a chance before some surprising big hitting from Scott Mooney (24 not out) and a man-of-the-match innings from Graham Marshall (47 not out) took them over the finish line with six wickets in hand.

For Hickling, Playle (2 for 37) and Hogg (1 for 28) did most of the early damage.
