It’s been a very busy start to the year for White Tiger Jujitsu at Jubilee Sports with many new students deciding to take up the martial art.
Among the students who graded last week, 20 were taking their first belt in front of proud parents and friends.
The Tiger Cubs graded in front of their instructor Sensei Steve Parkin at their Thursday lesson some of whom were taking their fifth grading.
Shihan Craig Connell (6th Dan) and Sensei Sam Butterworth (2nd Dan) travelled from Rochdale to put the junior and senior students through their paces three days later.
Students had to perform their latest moves with competence and show knowledge of the technical aspects, while Shihan Connell and Sensei Butterworth wanted to see control and effectiveness.
